What's my old computer worth?
Pick its type and processor. Not sure? It's on the sticker underneath, or in Settings → System → About.
Trade-in credit, ex GST
Up to $150
Per device in A-grade condition, off a new Trade-in eligible laptop or desktop. Confirmed after inspection.
How it works
Step 1
Tell us your devices
Enter serial numbers, or upload a list or an Intune or NinjaOne export. You'll see your estimate straight away.
Step 2
We collect
We book a collection that suits you. Free across metropolitan Sydney for 5 or more devices; elsewhere we arrange a courier.
Step 3
Inspect and wipe
Every device is checked against the conditions below and its drive wiped to NIST 800-88, with a certificate listing each serial number.
Step 4
Credit confirmed
We confirm the credit per device. It comes off your new Trade-in eligible laptops and desktops: one old device per new one.
Trade-in credit per device
Up to these amounts, ex GST, for a device in A-grade condition. Credit comes off new laptops and desktops marked Trade-in eligible, one old device per new device.

Secure data destruction
Every drive is wiped to the NIST 800-88 standard before a device is reused or recycled. You get a data destruction certificate listing each serial number, ready for audits, SMB1001 and Essential Eight evidence, and your asset register.
Get your device details in seconds
On each Windows laptop, open PowerShell and paste this. It prints the serial number, make, model and processor:
$b=Get-CimInstance Win32_BIOS; $c=Get-CimInstance Win32_ComputerSystem; $p=Get-CimInstance Win32_Processor; "$($b.SerialNumber),$($c.Manufacturer),$($c.Model),$($p.Name)"
For battery health, run powercfg /batteryreport and compare Full charge capacity with Design capacity. Managing devices in Intune or NinjaOne? Export the device list as CSV and upload it in the form.
Questions
How much is my old laptop worth?
Up to $290 per device, ex GST. A 10th to 12th gen Intel Core i5 laptop is up to $150 and an i7 up to $200; 2-in-1s, newer processors and the full table are above. Use the calculator for a single device or the trade-in form for a whole fleet.
Is the trade-in paid in cash?
No. It's credit off the purchase of new laptops or desktops from us that are marked Trade-in eligible, one old device per new device. That's how we keep the credit higher than resale buy-back prices.
Why is the credit "up to"?
The estimate assumes A-grade condition. We confirm it after collection and inspection: B-grade devices (light wear, or battery health under 60%) get 50% of the estimate, and $20 comes off a laptop without its power adapter. Estimates are held for 30 days.
What happens to the data on our devices?
Every drive is wiped to the NIST 800-88 standard before the device is reused or recycled. You get a data destruction certificate listing each device's serial number, which you can keep for audits and your cyber security records.
What if a device doesn't qualify for credit?
Damaged, locked, very old (7th gen Intel and earlier, which can't run Windows 11) and entry-level devices get no credit, but we still collect them with the rest, wipe them and send them for e-waste recycling, free.
Do you take desktops, Macs and AMD computers?
Yes. Desktops are credited $40 less than the same laptop, AMD Ryzen $20 less than the Intel equivalent, and Macs are quoted individually.
Do I have to remove company management and passwords first?
Yes, please: remove BIOS passwords, retire the device from Intune, Autopilot or other device management, and sign out of Microsoft and Apple accounts. Locked devices can't be reused, so they can't earn credit.
