Record the current environment
Identify the devices, Windows versions, user groups and existing management tools. List the applications staff need and any security or compliance policies already in place.
Define the rollout
Agree on how devices will enrol, whether Windows Autopilot will be used, which applications will be packaged and how settings will be tested. A pilot group can reveal issues before a wider deployment.
Agree on handover
Document who will support users, manage updates and maintain application packages after launch. Include the acceptance criteria and any work outside the initial scope in the statement of work.
